DawaLens provides general information only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Information in the App, including medicine details, warnings, prices, and nutrition estimates, may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Always consult a qualified doctor or pharmacist before taking, stopping, or changing any medicine, and never disregard professional advice because of something you read in the App. In an emergency, contact a doctor or emergency services immediately.

Not a government service

DawaLens is an independent application operated by Griffon Technologies. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorised by, or representing the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), the Government of India, or any government entity. Medicine ceiling-price information references data published by the NPPA and generic-medicine information references the PMBJP (Jan Aushadhi); this data may be incomplete or out of date. Verify at the official sources: nppaindia.nic.in and janaushadhi.gov.in.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the DawaLens mobile application (the “App”) provided by Griffon Technologies(“we”, “us”, or “our”). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. What DawaLens does

DawaLens lets you scan medicines and food to receive informational summaries, allergy and interaction warnings based on details you provide, price comparisons, and nutrition and calorie tracking. It is an information and convenience tool only.

3. Not medical advice

As stated above, the App does not provide medical advice and does not create a doctor–patient relationship. Decisions about your health, medicines, and diet are your responsibility and should be made with a qualified professional.

4. Accuracy of information

Medicine, price, and food information is generated using automated systems and third-party sources, including Google’s Gemini API, published ceiling-price data, and Open Food Facts. These sources may contain errors or may be out of date. We do not warrant that any result is accurate, complete, or current, and you should independently verify anything important.

5. Your account

An anonymous account is created when you first use the App. You may add and verify an email to secure and recover your account. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your access secure.

6. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the App for any unlawful purpose.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the App or its systems.
  • Do not rely on the App as your sole source for medical or pricing decisions.

7. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, content, and branding, is owned by Griffon Technologies and protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute it without our permission. Information sourced from third parties remains the property of those parties.

8. Service “as is”

The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Griffon Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on information provided by the App. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or discontinue the App, or your access to it, at any time. You may stop using the App and request deletion of your account at any time.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Chirala, Andhra Pradesh, India shall have jurisdiction over any disputes.
